Jim Olson is a published author, historian, auctioneer, public speaker, and co-owner of Western Trading Post, one of Arizona’s historic trading posts with roots tracing back to 1877 in the Arizona Territory. Under his leadership, Western Trading Post has grown into a respected gallery and auction house, known for its dedication to preserving and perpetuating our rich Western history and heritage.
Jim starred in Western Trading Post TV, the award-winning reality series that aired nationally on RFD-TV and the Cowboy Channel, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the world of Western collectibles and cowboy culture. He has also appeared in several commercials and short films, and has delivered numerous presentations on the Western lifestyle.
Deeply passionate about honoring the American West in both English and Spanish, Jim serves as Vice President of the National Bit, Spur & Saddle Collectors Association and is a board member of the Colt Collectors Association. His love for the Western way of life is also reflected in his past achievements as a PRCA award-winning tie-down and team roper.
